Michael R. Point is a Vice President for Amalfi Consulting. Prior to joining Amalfi Consulting, he spent the past three years with its predecessor, Clark Consulting. In addition to compensation, executive benefits and benefit funding experience, his background includes more than 11 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Michael works with senior management and compensation committees to determine appropriate benchmarks and compensation programs that reflect the bank’s strategic objectives, culture, and factors such as attraction, retention, and internal equity.

Mr. Point advises clients on a wide range of compensation issues including salary and bonus, equity and long-term incentives, supplemental retirement benefits, employment and change-in-control agreements, as well as director compensation. In addition to leading project teams, he also provides analytical and project management support for complex engagements. Michael has authored various articles and has been a guest speaker and seminar host on executive compensation with several state banking associations including the Arkansas Bankers Association, Louisiana Bankers Association and Texas Bankers Association. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics. Michael has also completed the requirements for designation as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).
