Todd A. Leone is the President and Founder of Amalfi Consulting. His broad background encompasses 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. During the past 14 years, he has focused exclusively on compensation and benefits issues, primarily for banks and Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Leone has extensive experience in managing all aspects of compensation, including developing overall compensation philosophy, determining base salary programs, and designing annual and long-term incentive compensation programs. In addition, he has many years of experience in designing nonqualified pension and deferred compensation plans, as well as employment agreements, change-in-control analyses and split-dollar arrangements. Mr. Leone has also assisted bank clients with governance issues including committee charters, compensation philosophy and all other aspects of board remuneration.
As President, Mr. Leone leads a national team of compensation professionals who specialize in designing and implementing sound compensation strategies for officers and directors of financial institutions across the country. Mr. Leone, along with other consultants at Amalfi, directs all aspects of the client engagement including identifying needs, defining the proposed approach, designing programs, and guiding implementation and communication. Mr. Leone also serves as an advisor to the client on various compensation and benefits issues, including taxation, regulatory compliance and compensation agreement provisions.
Mr. Leone has authored several articles on compensation issues for various industry publications and has also served as a speaker at numerous conferences and seminars. Audiences that Mr. Leone has addressed include the American Bankers Association, America’s Community Bankers, WorldAtWork, Bank Director’s “Acquire or Be Acquired Conference,” Bank Administration Institute, Institute of International Bankers, and various state and privately sponsored industry conferences.
Mr. Leone graduated from the University of Minnesota, Institute of Technology, in Minneapolis, with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and statistics. He also completed a minor in computer science.
