The United States federal regulators are proposing rules to implement Section 956 of theDodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act addressing incentivecompensation arrangements with a focus on prohibited and excessive compensation. On March 30, 2011, the agencies released their version of the proposed Rules, while publishing them in the Federal Registry on April 14, 2011. This client alert focuses on both the proposed rules as published, as well as specific areas where the regulators are asking for comment.
