Katrina Gerenz is a Vice President at Amalfi Consulting. She has over 11 years of compensation experience serving the banking and financial services industries. Prior to joining Amalfi Consulting, she served as a compensation consultant in Clark Consulting’s Compensation Group. She also worked as a compensation professional at a life insurance company, where she developed and administered compensation plans for staff and management positions.
Katrina works with clients to design and implement compensation programs that will attract, retain, and reward key talent. She works with each client to review current compensation plans against peer best practices and to design compensation programs that reflect the client’s strategic objectives, pay philosophy, and culture. Katrina advises banks on a wide range of compensation initiatives, such as developing a compensation philosophy, determining competitive salaries and overall pay packages, and designing annual and long-term incentive plans. Katrina also has expertise relative to employment and change-in-control agreements, director compensation, and executive compensation proxy disclosure. In addition to leading project teams, Katrina provides analytical and project management support for complex engagements.
Katrina earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas and a master’s degree in human resources and industrial relations from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. She is also a Certified Compensation Professional.
